31 MARCH 2025, London: Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, Ms A London, the world-first mainstream lingerie brand for Transwomen, is proud to announce that the company has been shortlisted for the UK StartUp Awards. With the first sizing system, developed specifically for Transwomen, the brand recently won the opportunity to exhibit at the global lingerie show, Curve New York, where it made waves amongst international buyers, with its products and sizing system to buyers from around the world.
The lingerie industry is notoriously unstandardised, making life difficult for consumers. Add to that the challenges that might face Transwomen customers, whose body shapes are not considered within the industry ‘fit model’ standards and the issues are even greater. Bok worked hand-in-hand with the community for over three years, to develop Ms A London’s unique sizing system, and she is currently in discussions with the BSI (British Standards Institution) to incorporate the system within British Standards.
“It is incredible to have been shortlisted for the awards,” states Ms A London founder, Bok Goodall. “More than 78 million people globally identify as Transgender*, so businesses recognising the importance of the community is vital.”
She continues: “Thanks to the huge support we have received from friends in the lingerie industry here, as well as in the US, we have had so much interest from buyers from around the globe. Our operation is currently still quite small but we hope to secure funding soon, so that we can reach shoppers from London to New York, Tokyo to Rio de Janeiro, and more.”
